Terms of Service

Last updated 16 June 2026

These terms apply to the nextself website, invite flow, accounts, and apps. They are intentionally written for an early-stage digital health service. If a specific app, future prescription route, app-store rule, or paid plan has additional terms, those more specific terms apply as well.

1. Provider

The service is provided by nextself health GmbH, Nowackanlage 13, 76137 Karlsruhe, Germany. You can contact us at info@nextself.health.

2. What nextself provides

nextself develops focused digital health apps and programmes. Some features may be available only in beta, by invite, by activation code, through an app store, soon by prescription, or after reimbursement approval. Availability can differ by app, country, device, and user group.

3. No emergency care

nextself is not an emergency service. If you are in acute danger, in crisis, or need urgent medical help, call your local emergency number, in Germany 112, or contact medical professionals immediately.

4. Medical information

Our apps can support behaviour change, self-management, and health-related routines. They do not replace diagnosis, medical advice, psychotherapy, medication, or treatment by qualified professionals. If an app is certified or listed as a DiGA, the certification or listing applies only to that specific app and its described intended purpose.

5. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 16 years old, unless a specific app requires a higher age or use is arranged with the required consent of a parent or legal guardian. Keep your account details accurate, protect your login credentials, and tell us if you suspect unauthorised access.

6. Beta, invite, and future prescriptions

Invite access and beta features are not guaranteed and may change, pause, or end. If a nextself app soon becomes available on prescription or as a reimbursable digital health application, the applicable activation, prescription, insurer, and app-specific conditions will be shown during that process. Activation codes are personal and may not be transferred.

7. Prices, app stores, and consumer rights

Where a feature, app, or plan is paid, the price and main conditions will be shown before purchase. Purchases through app stores may also be subject to the store provider's terms. Your statutory consumer rights, including rights that may apply to digital products, withdrawal rights, warranty rights, and mandatory information duties, remain unaffected.

8. Acceptable use

Use nextself only for lawful, personal purposes and in line with the instructions shown in the app. Do not misuse the service, interfere with security, copy or scrape content, attempt to reverse-engineer software except where mandatory law permits it, upload unlawful content, or use another person's account.

9. Intellectual property

The apps, software, content, designs, trademarks, and brand elements belong to nextself or our licensors. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose.

10. Availability, changes, and suspension

We aim to keep the service reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may update, improve, limit, or discontinue features where there is a valid reason, for example security, legal requirements, product development, or misuse. We may suspend access if an account appears to violate these terms, create risk, or be used unlawfully.

11. Ending use

You can stop using nextself at any time and may request account deletion where available. If a paid subscription or consumer contract exists, the applicable cancellation, withdrawal, and statutory termination options remain available and will not be restricted by these terms.

12. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, and where mandatory law requires liability. For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of essential contractual duties, limited to typical foreseeable damage, unless mandatory law provides otherwise. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

13. Governing law and changes

German law applies, without limiting mandatory consumer protection laws that apply in your country of residence. We may update these terms when our services, legal requirements, or business model change. The current version is published here. Questions? Write to info@nextself.health.
